The food is very good, but the portions are very small for the price. £23 for a 2 course meal is too much given the portion size.
returned after 5 years found my stay very enjoyable would definately stay again
This hotel was amazing, one of the best hotels I have stayed in!
very nice hotel, excellent location, our room had a great view of the river dee, good food, nice casual dining in bar area.
Relaxing stay with comfortable , good standard accommodation and good food.
The location and history of house
A charming hotel on the banks of the Dee within a reasonal driving distance from Aberdeen. Very welcoming and helpful and the room was of good quality.
Staff were very friendly and curtious
There is an interesting history associated with this hotel. The hotel and the grounds were beautiful.
No Wifi!! There is broadband provided, but I couldn't use it with my tablet computer. The rooms were also a bit stuffy and there wasn't any air circulation.
i loved the view i had from my room everymorning
every thing very good all the staff were excellent service great palce for wedding
Nice comfortable rooms, really griendly staff.
The rooms I had was overlooking a river where fishermen were fishing for salmon. The hotel dates back to the 1200's and is associated with the Knights Templar and was full of historical interest.
The hotel is situated in the most beautiful countryside with lovely views which adds to the ambience of the hotel. Whilst the hotel is large enough to accommodate a fairly large amount of guests it still has the feeling of being homely and individual, which I feel adds to its character. The history of the hotel certainly adds to the experience. Breakfast was delicious and was the perfect start to the day. The staff were all friendly and polite and the bedroom was up to the standard you would expect from a 4* hotel. All in all this hotel is excellent and I will certainly recommend it to others.
Nice large room. Quiet
Cold Floor in the bathroom. Dinner was too complicated, meat was undercooked. No sallads available. Breakfast was terrible. Eggshells in the scramble eggs that did not taste of anything, served on soggy bread. Golf Course was a long way from the hotel.
